Do your students seem stressed and a million miles away? Do your students have challenging behaviors and meltdowns over seemingly small setbacks? In this session, we will explore the impact of identifying emotions and energy levels at the beginning of class as well as how mindfulness practices affect students' engagement in learning. While the research was conducted in a parent education setting, any age student can benefit from becoming more aware of how their emotions and energy levels might be impacting their learning. I invite you to explore with me the benefits of storytelling, journaling, and mindful breathing. Come find your zen!
