" How can I engage my students in the learning process?" In the age of Covid, engagement has become a topic for both parents and teachers; how to engage students whether they are distant learning or in-person. Through my research, and many years of teaching in Early Childhood, young children, and I would say ALL children engage best through experiences that allow them to explore activities using all their senses. Nature has made a come back, how might you add nature experiences to your classroom, whether it is going outside or bringing nature "in". What are "loose parts" and how can you incorporate them into your instruction; engaging students and teaching skills? What role could PLAY have in engaging students? Come share ideas of how you use nature in your classroom. Discover new ways to incorporate PLAY into learning standards by using found items. Whether you are distant learning or in-person, sparking your students curiosity by using the "world around us" will increase engagement and thus increase learning.
