Do you enjoy teaching math? Are you looking for ways to make math more enjoyable not only for your students but also for you? Last spring I was in desperate need of a more effective way to teach math to my elementary students. Problem-based learning helped my math block become more engaging and effective to my students. Come discuss student and teacher roles during problem-based learning. This research is relevant for elementary students and can be implemented in many different subject areas. My hope for you is that you will walk away from this session with ideas and action steps to implement problem-based learning in your own classroom.
