Have you found our loss of in person teaching time having an effect on your students' reading fluency? Have you found your students not comprehending what they are reading? Knowing there would be times of distance learning this school year, I knew the importance of finding strategies to work on reading fluency virtually. In this session we will discuss different strategies to utilize in reading instruction. These strategies can be implemented not only during distance learning, but in person as well. We will discuss the impact of FACES (Failure, Authenticity, Curiosity, Emotion, & Sociality) in reading instruction.
