In all my years of teaching there has never been a curriculum or way of teaching writing that has been effective for me or my students. In my research I used a curriculum that focused on being able to form sentences and paragraphs with a multisensory approach. My students became more engaged in their writing and they were able to start being more independent in their writing practice. I focused on third and fourth grade students in special education, however I feel like this would work with 2nd-5th grade students. Multisensory teaching in writing has really been helpful and I would love to get the chance to share my experience and some of the things I got to explore with my students.
