As I reflected on what my students experienced in March of 2020, I felt compelled to explore and find some active learning activities that would impact my students academically and socially at the same time. Since our time together was limited I wanted to make the best use of our time together in the classroom. In my research, I discovered that puzzles actually impact several areas of learning including but not limited to social interactions, perseverance, fine motor skills, and spatial awareness awareness. Puzzles could benefit any student in any classroom. The research that will be presented was conducted in a Kindergarten classroom. If you are interested in discussing the benefits of puzzles in the classroom, feel free to join me.
